An interesting analysis “on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in third countries” has published by the European Commission. In this biannual Third Country Report are identified countries in which the state of intellectual property protection and enforcement gives rise to the greatest concern, as well as inform rights holders, including SMEs, of the potential risks when conducting business in certain countries. For the first time, the Third Country Report contains a dedicated section on the protection of plant variety rights.
