Health ministers and high-level delegates of the 53 Member States of the WHO European Region, as well as representatives of partner organizations and civil society, had gathered in Tel Aviv, Israel to attend the WHO Regional Committee for Europe from 12 .
This Regional Committee session, the first full in-person governance meeting in the Region since the COVID-19 pandemic began, will be an opportunity to reflect on progress so far and further steps needed to implement the European Program of Work (EPW) 2020–2025 – “United Action for Better Health in Europe”. A particular focus was given to the EPW’s contribution to advancing health and well-being at the country level.
